Wedding Postponement; How to celebrate the date your wedding should have been
Wedding Postponement is not something you envisaged as being part of the planning process. We didn’t either. But here we are, with many postponed weddings across the world due to coronavirus.
We know just how heartbreaking it has been to make this difficult decision, but it is just not safe to proceed right now, so if we all have to wait a little longer to celebrate with you, then that’s what we’ll do.
We've dealt with postponements for our clients that were due to marry in April, May and June. Some have postponed to later this year and some will take place in 2021. And we may have to consider moving more.

So, if you have postponed your Spring wedding, we want to know, what will you be doing on the original date?
We don't think this day should pass by like any other - you would have been celebrating (and you will, big time) so why not still celebrate the original date? We have some suggestions on how you can do just that:
Wear the perfume or aftershave you had selected for your wedding day.
But then pack it away and save it for the postponed date! It will forever be a reminder of your wedding. Dress up, put the perfume on and have a home date night.
Open that bottle of fizz you've been saving for something special
Okay, if you've already popped that cork (we’ll be honest, we have!) then treat yourselves to a new one. This day is absolutely worth celebrating, good food and drink is a big part of a wedding, so use it to mark this important day in your lives.
Organise a video catch up with your guests at the same time your ceremony would have been
And raise a glass to your future celebration (virtually of course)! You should see those important faces and hear those voices, you could even consider having them do a reading or a mini speech.
Fill your house with flowers
Speak to your wedding florist and see if they can create a beautiful arrangement for your home that will emulate your wedding flowers, it can be a little glimpse of the beautiful things to come.
Have your first dance
It may be more special when its in your living room and no-one is watching.
So, there's just a few ideas to help you celebrate your original wedding date. It should still be a happy day, even if it isn't quite the day you imagined. Your wait is now a little longer than it perhaps should have been, but just know that in the end, it will all be worth it. A few more weeks but then, forever.
