That’s right, we are back again, showing off some more spectacular wedding venues.  However, this time in the series, we are showcasing the fabulous wedding venues of Cambridgeshire.

If you are planning your wedding and thinking of Cambridgeshire as the location, then you have come to the right place! In today’s blog we are going to be looking at three wonderful wedding venues in Cambridgeshire, that each have so much to offer you for your special day.

Chippenham Park, Newmarket

If it is your dream to get married in an English country house and garden, well look no further than Chippenham Park. Located on the Suffolk - Cambridgeshire border, the privately-owned Grade 2 listed house, is surrounded by 300 acres of parkland and Gardens. With choices for your wedding and reception ranging from a summer lake house, the octagon and the old ballroom, there is so much choice that can fit every bride looking for a dreamy wedding venue in Cambridge.

The house itself was rebuilt in the 1880’s with the park being created in the 1690s by Admiral Russell with the permission of the King. The Interiors still have much of the character character of the 1880s house and retain many of the family portraits, so if a historic wedding venue is top of your list, look no further!

Kimbolton Castle, Huntingdon

Kimbolton castle is located in the quiet and beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. What was once a castle and Tudor Manor House is now a public school. And a spectacularly romantic and stunningly elegant wedding venue in Cambridgeshire! Weddings can be held in the various state apartments and with the stunning castle courtyard, there is nothing but choice for your special day.

Set within 120 acres of idyllic parkland, Kimbolton Castle provides an ideal backdrop for those precious wedding photographs. But if that’s not what your looking for the castle’s main stair case also features some of the finest murals in England, which creates an awe inspiring, historic backdrop for any photo op. Their in-house caterers will also be on hand to help to prepare the menu of your dreams, whether that be a large or intimate affair. We can promise your guests will not forget and memories will be kept for a lifetime.

King’s College, Cambridge

There are no wedding venues in Cambridgeshire that are more iconic than the Cambridge Colleges. The architecture, history and perfectly manicured grounds make them the perfect city wedding venue. One of our favorite’s is King’s College, which is world renowned for its iconic back lawn and Chapel, a view often considered to be quintessentially Cambridge, and arguably the best backdrop in the city. We can guarantee, you will not be disappointed with this venue, its almost too good to be true and the photos will make all those who didn’t get the chance to be wed here very jealous!

Not just your average city wedding venue, King’s college and any of the Cambridge college wedding venues benefit from a unique extra special touch; you can choose to arrive by punt, not something you can experience at many venues! Not only that but the Georgian Gothic Hall at King’s college is breath-taking, with a 13.6-metre-high ceiling, making an incredible backdrop for any theme or design.
