We have long been fans of a marquee wedding at home. Marquee weddings, over the years, have become somewhat of a specialty for us; heading to a beautiful private property or an amazing venue and creating the most amazing, unique wedding, designed and built especially for our couple. It doesn’t get more bespoke than that! Chloe and Matt first reached out to us just after their engagement, they knew they wanted a marquee wedding at home, but they wanted our help to create a truly beautiful design for the day, take away the stress and help them plan every fine detail. Bridal Preparations & a Best woman in a satin gown
The absolute joy of a marquee wedding at home is often the totally relaxed morning preparations. We love arranging a glam squad for our bridal parties, seeing them all enjoy a champagne breakfast in the comfort of their family home and feeling totally pampered. On a drizzly morning, our priority was relaxation for our beautiful bride. Dee and her team from Beauty at the Blue Door glossed every lip and lined every eye, while Tina’s team at Beautiful Hair ensured there wasn’t a curl out of place. With just enough time for the predicted storms to pass on by, allowing us to get our girls to church on time. Not before the gents, and fabulous best woman in her stunning satin gown, had enjoyed a pint or two of course…
Intimate country church wedding
Private marquee weddings provide an opportunity of choice for your ceremony - while your garden wedding at home lacks a wedding license, it doesn’t mean you can’t have a ceremony! Most often our couples opt for either a celebration ceremony or a legal ceremony at a local Church. Chloe & Matt had a lovely, intimate country Church ceremony. Guests gathered, flowers were installed by our fabulous florist Bloom East, and confetti was thrown on the church path, before guests walked or took the very short drive back to the bride’s family home for the reception.
Transparent Marquee Reception
Nothing says modern marquee reception like a transparent marquee. Set in the Suffolk countryside, with perfect country views, it really makes for the most elegant private wedding reception. We lined our clear roof marquee with lighting from Dreamwave Events and foliage garlands from Bloom East. As the night fell, we had a beautiful sparkling ceiling above a very busy dance floor…
Late Night Pizza Party
A delicious meal, excellent speeches, photos in the temporarily repurposed stables all done, what more could you and your guests want than a late night pizza party at your wedding!? The marquee reception continued into the night, Nonna’s Pizza served up the carb-goods from their vintage van, and our custom built terrace was the perfect chill-out spot for the evening. This was truly a great celebration to end a fantastic day. Concluding with a brunch the next morning, it was a weekend to remember.
